The Benefits of Membership

The AMS provides services to members, including a website – for electronic information retrieval, a monthly e-newsletter and bi-monthly News Bulletin, which contain reports on industry affairs; news items; progress and final reports on macadamia industry research and marketing programs; and a forum for discussion and debate.

Further benefits include:

• Direct-mailed information on upcoming events such as field days, seminars and grower meetings.
• Input to the national research and development programs funded jointly by grower levies and Horticulture Australia.
• Input to the marketing and promotions program managed through Horticulture Australia.
• Access to subsidised training courses such as the National Farm Chemical Users Course, and specific macadamia short courses such as top working and grafting, IPM strategies, Tree nutrition etc.
• Being part of the peak industry body leading the Australian macadamia industry.
• Members who insure with Wesfarmers Federation Insurance will be eligible for a rebate of 50% of the commission the AMS receives from WFI, deductable from their AMS subscription (provided their base premium exceeds $1,000.00).

How to join

Joining the AMS is easy, click here to download an application brochure. You can either drop in and see us at the AMS office at Suite 1,113 Dawson Street Lismore or alternatively send the application to us by post.

Join online:

1. If you haven’t already, register for a website account¹ by selecting register on the top-right navigation.
2. Select My account then Join the AMS.
3. Select the membership type which applies to you and proceed to pay via credit card or Paypal.

In applying for membership, you agree to be bound by the Constitution of the Australian Macadamia Society Limited, and the Rules, Regulations or By-laws of the Society from time to time in force. Membership Subscriptions run for 12 months, July to June. For Australian residents there an annual subscription fee of $215.00.Please view application brochure to view different membership categories . Half year subscriptions apply from January. For overseas applications the annual subscription fee is Australian $700(including postage).

Register without joining the AMS

Australian levy payers are entitled to levy-funded research. In order to gain access, growers are required to register by completing these steps:

1. If you haven’t already, register for a website account¹ by selecting register on the top-right navigation.
2. Select My account then Orchards.
3. Select New orchard and enter the requested details.
4. Contact us and provide proof of levee payment.

¹ After registering, please check your email and follow the activation link to complete the process.
